On November 17, 2015, NSFC President Yang Wei met with Ms. Anita Lehikoinen, Permanent Secretary of Education and Culture of Finland, and Mr. Heikki Mannila, President of the Academy of Finland (AF).

President Yang Wei warmly welcomed Ms. Anita Lehikoinen and the delegation. The two sides highly praised the joint efforts of NSFC and AF in promoting collaborative researches between the Chinese and Finnish researchers in the past ten years and held discussions on future collaborations.

The delegation also included Ms. Jaana Palojarvi, Director for International Relations of Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, Ms. Birgitta Vuorinen, Counsellor of Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, and Mr. Mika Tirronen, Counsellor of Science and Education of Embassy of Finland in China.

Feng Feng, Fan Yingjie and Xu Jin of Bureau of International Cooperation also attended the meeting.
