International (Regional) Cooperation and Exchange

Article 47 The National Natural Science Foundation of China shall, on the basis of equality and mutual benefit and mutual supplement of each other's advantages, actively explore cooperation channels and create a fine environment for international (regional) scientific and technological cooperation and exchange.

Article 48 The National Natural Science Foundation of China shall work out strategic plans for international (regional) cooperation and exchange, promote substantial international cooperation and increase China's international competitiveness in science and technology in light of the international situation and state policies on foreign affairs and science and technology and in compliance with the laws of basic research.

Article 49 The National Natural Science Foundation of China shall support Chinese scientists in extensively participating in international cooperation and competition through diverse channels such as funding joint research, academic meetings and personnel exchange.

Article 50 The National Natural Science Foundation of China shall actively explore and utilize overseas intellectual resources and attract overseas scientists to participate in domestic basic research so as to promote the development of China's science and technology.
