Leadership
In accordance with the decision of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Chen Yiyu was appointed as President, and Wang Jie, Shen Wenqing, Sun Jiaguang, Shen Yan, Yao Jiannian and He Minghong as Vice Presidents of the sixth term of the Council of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2008.
Abiding by the system of fixed tenures, the NSFC Council is constituted by one President and five Vice Presidents. Meanwhile, one Secretary General and one Deputy Secretary General are instated to assist the Council in managerial activities. Members of the Council are listed as follows:
