Main functions:
To constitute the plans of the Natural Science
Fund and related measures of administration; to coordinate the distribution
of the Science Fund and the macroscopic regulation and control;
to conduct the statistical analyses and promulgation of projects;
to compile and distribute the Guide to Programs; to supervise
and inspect the implementation of regulations for various kinds
of projects; to be in charge of the overall management for the substitution
of members of the disciplinary expert committees and the management
of Science Fund regional contact points; to carry out the statistics,
analysis and integrated coordination of achievements obtained from
the Science Fund and the evaluation of funding performance; to take
charge of the formulation, management and implementation of the
rules and regulations of the National Science Fund for Fostering
Talents in Basic Research. There are five divisions under the Bureau.
