Prof. Chen Yiyu met with Prof. Winnacker, President of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) on December 28, 2005. In a cordial atmosphere, the two presidents reviewed the bilateral cooperation and expressed wishes to further strengthen substantial collaboration. Furthermore, they exchanged ideas about the development of both funding organizations and related investment in the coming years, nexus between a balanced disciplinary progress and priority prominence, the significance of building a relaxed environment for scientific research, the advocating of science ethics and the dealing with misconduct in research, the evaluation of science funding bodies, etc.
