According to the Implementation Plan for The Research Fund for International Young Scientists (thereafter referred to as the fund),” the young scientists who have been granted with the fund could apply for extended funding according to the need of the research work, with the maximum duration of one year”. Considerations needed to take for the possible applicants are as follows:

I. Eligibility

The applicant should be the PI of the on-going project of the fund who has never got the extended funding.

II. Application documents

1.Application form with an elaboration on the progress made on the on-going project;

2.Agreement signed between the applicant and the host institution, bearing the official stamp, with provisions laid on the maintenance, insurance, and living and working conditions during the extended project implementation. The duration of the agreement should cover the funding period, when the applicant should promise to work full time at the host institution.

III. Application procedure and application deadline

1. The application form should be submitted online via the ISIS system of NSFC before November 10^th, 2011.

2. The hard copies in duplicate for the application documents should be submitted to Division of Planning, Bureau of International Cooperation of NSFC.
